All bra's fit differently

You know that different shop’s clothing fits differently, and that you are different shoe sizes from different manufacturers.
Bras are no different! In fact, they’re probably worse than clothing and shoes due to the cup sizing and shapes available.
So, why do most women think that they are a 34D, or a 36HH, and that’s that? I have no idea, but we would like to educate them to understand bra sizing more, helping them to save money and hopefully get them more comfortable in general with their bras.

Firstly, there’s this thing called CROSS SIZING. That is, a 34D cup, is the same as a 36C, and a 32DD in the SAME BRA! But, it’s also useful when looking at other styles. One style may be quite firm around the band, but the next you try on is looser. If the cup is OK, then reduce the band size, but INCREASE the cup size to keep the cup volume the size you need.

The other thing to be aware of is that all companies use different sizing structures. There is a growing closeness of these, but UK sizing is different to European sizing and US sizing; and then some companies don’t use FF, but jump from an F to a G!
There are also some companies that use the double letters as a half size increase, such as Panache. So you may need to increase 2 cup sizes to what you would usually, to get the full size increase you need if the first size is too small. Don’t be scared to increase the cup size to what you feel comfortable in. At the end of the day, who cares what the size label says? All you should care about is, is the bra comfy? Because at the end of the day, you are the one who is wearing it.
Below I have drawn up a couple of charts to help you find the right size bra for you.

When you’re properly fitted for a bra, don’t be surprised if they bring in different sizes for you to try. It’s not the label you need to think about, it’s the style and size.
When buying online, ask us at Juicy Lingerie for assistance about how the bra fits and it’s sizing structure. And remember, that the style of the bra is much more important than the size.
Different fabrics are firmer than others. Even black and white bras in the same design fit differently! (the dye tightens the weave of the fabric so black fits firmer than white!).
Don’t be frightened of buying bras that are different sizes to what you are used to and we will always be happy to advise you!
